Dark Sky Events brings one of the largest portable telescopes available and an experienced guide to a location of your choosing. Our telescope brings into focus the beauty and wonder of distant planets, galaxies, and nebula.

We promise a quality experience of the night sky you will always remember.

Every Dark Sky Event begins with a tour of the constellations followed by at least two hours of deep sky telescopic viewing.

Beautiful photographs of the night sky are taken at every event.

Guests receive digital copies of these photographs as keepsakes

of their night under the stars.

ABOUT ANGELO

Angelo Parisi has been sharing his love of the night sky with the public for over 40 years. As one of the founding members of the Robert Ferguson Observatory (RFO) in Sonoma County, he developed the PlanetWalk, a scale model of the solar system that exists as a permanent display on the trails of Sugar Loaf Ridge State Park. As co-creator of the Big Bang Band Traveling Star Show, Angelo brought the fun of science to thousands of school children throughout Sonoma County and California. In 2004 they were nationally recognized by winning the Astronomical Society of the Pacific’s Las Cumbres Award for outstanding educational outreach to children K-12 and the lay public. Angelo currently works teaching and developing educational programs for the Lake County Office of Education at the Taylor Observatory and Norton Planetarium in Kelseyville.
